Houston FFs Jump from Second-Floor After Man Points Gun

Jan. 28, 2024
Houston Chief Samuel Pena called the incident that left two firefighters injured 'outrageous and inexcusable.'

Two Houston firefighters jumped from second-floor balcony stairwell Saturday after a man pointed a gun at them.

One suffered an arm injury, while the other had facial injuries. Both are expected to be OK, KPRC reported.

The two were called to the apartment because the man was having seizures. He asked to grab a shirt before they transported him to the hospital. But, he returned with a gun

“He pointed at the firemen, and they ran from the apartment. Both firemen jumped from the second floor,” a police officer told reporters.

The suspect was taken into custody and faces charges.
